This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course is based on the postures of traditional Hatha yoga, In this course you will learn and practice a wide range of yoga asanas. You will understand the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of Yoga asanas, and also learn the modifications and variations of selected asanas. 1. Do I need minimum yoga experience before applying for the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course?
For Ashtanga Vinyasa TTC you will need to be having an intermediate practice. For all other TTC courses, No. As long as you do not have any injuries or medical conditions, you will be able to learn and perform postures as per your own capacity.
2. Can I join the 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training Course even if i am an absolute beginner ?
Yes. This course will help you to get introduced to the basics of Yoga as well.
3. I am not very flexible and cannot do many postures, can I still join the course?
Yes. As long as you do not have any injuries or medical conditions, you will be able to learn and perform postures as per your own capacity.
4. Do you provide study materials or manuals?
Yes, we provide a teacher training handbook to each student.
5. Will I become an internationally recognised Yoga Teacher after completing the course ?
Yes. Satvan Yoga is a Yoga Alliance (USA) Registered Yoga School and all of our courses are registered with Yoga Alliance US.
6. Do I need to bring any particular clothing?
Comfortable yoga clothing is suggested. Warmer clothings for evenings and mornings are recommended and also a windcheater/raincoat if you are here during the monsoon season.
7. Should I bring my own yoga mat?
Although we provide clean Yoga mats, for personal hygiene reasons most trainees prefer to bring a yoga mat of their own. You can also purchase a Yoga mat at the Centre.
8. What should I bring for the course?
Personal yoga mat, loose and comfortable yoga clothes, toiletries, mosquito repellant, electrical adaptor. Please carry any medication you are taking, or that you may need during your stay.
9. Is food suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Our kitchen serves exceptional vegetarian meals. Vegan options can be made available as per request.
10. Wifi is available ?
Yes. But kindly note that the internet connection in Goa can be a bit slow and sometimes drops.
