200hrs YIN YOGA TTC
This 200-hour course covers in-depth yoga teacher training and learning of the fundamental principles of Yin Yoga.
WHAT IS YIN YOGA ?
Yin Yoga is a deeply meditative practice of long-held poses. The intention is to arrive at a place of stillness in the body, breath and mind while paying attention to what arises – physically, emotionally, mentally. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, this soulful practice works with the 5 elements and 12 meridian pairs (energy channels) where the gentle stress applied on deeper connective tissues releases stuck energy, builds more flexibility and strengthens the joints.
There is also emphasis placed on the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga and a thorough introduction to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Concepts of Yamas, Niyamas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, meditation techniques and mindfulness, along with various alignments and yoga teaching techniques are covered in depth. The curriculum also covers Yoga philosophy, yogic lifestyle & diet, anatomy & physiology, introduction to Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Gheranda Samhita. Trainees will also get practical experiences of the principal Yoga asanas, pranayamas, Kriyas, public speaking, the methodology of teaching, among other relevant topics. Upon completion of this yoga course, you can register with Yoga Alliance as RYT-200
